The MPL Book Club: Middlemarch by George Eliot
The Book Club is now reading George Eliot's Middlemarch!
The next meeting of the book club will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5 at the Aull Center with a discussion of the first half of Middlemarch. Please read to chapter 45 for our discussion.

Animondays @ the M.P.L. - Fruits Basket
The library's anime club will hold a free screening of Fruits Basket. We have added a craft project for each anime screening. This month we will be making candy sushi using rice krispy treats, fruit roll-ups and other candies!

Plot Summary: When a member of the Sohma family is embraced by a person of the opposite gender, they transform into an animal of the Chinese Zodiac! A young girl stumbles upon their hidden secret and life at the Sohma house changes forever! Young Tohru Honda must promise the secret will remain her own... or face the consequences!

Story times consist of books, games, songs, crafts, and refreshments. Please call the library at (304) 291-7425 if you have questions about specific dates and times. Winter session will be cancelled if there is no school due to weather conditions.

Programs at the Branches
The branches of the Morgantown Public Library also have their own wonderful programs, including:
Afterschool Adventures at the Arnettsville Community Center
Children in elementary school (kindergarten through fifth grade) are welcome to attend this free, literacy-based afterschool program at the Arnettsville Community Center*. Programs run from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., and may involve stories, games, and crafts. Parents may register their children for each program by calling 278-7941, 278-9973, or 291-7425 ext. 215.
* Students may ride the bus to the Community Center. Parents must pick up by 5:30 p.m.
* This program is temporarily on break. More information as it becomes available. *

Clay-Battelle Book Club
Clay Battelle Public Library hosts a book club meeting on the first Monday of every month. Books are provided, but space is limited to 12 people, and there is a participation fee. For more information, call (304) 432-8531.
