Friends of the Morgantown Public Library
The purpose of The Friends of the Morgantown Public Library is to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs in the Morgantown community. All proceeds raised by the Friends benefit the Morgantown Public Library.
Book Sale
The Friends sell donated books in the basement of the Morgantown Public Library.
- Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
A wide variety of books are available, including novels (literary, mystery, crime, romance, science fiction, westerns), children's, teens, sports, cookbooks, religion, computer, travel, biographies, textbooks, etc.; audio books and VHS tapes are also available.
Prices are generally 90% off of original retail price with some exceptions; an additional ½ off sale is held every 1st Saturday.

Membership
Want to become a member of The Friends of the Morgantown Public Library? Your annual membership supports the library and entitles you to receive a 10% discount at the Friends book sale. All proceeds benefit the Morgantown Public Library.
- $5 for students
- $10 for individuals
- $25 for family
- $100 for a lifetime membership
Membership can be mailed to Friends, 373 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV 26505 or delivered in person during the book sale.
Donations
Donations of new and gently used books and audio-visual materials are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Morgantown Public Library. The Library reserves the right to put donated materials in the collection. Encyclopedias are not accepted.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Friends are seeking volunteers for weekly book sale inventory. For more information, inquire at the front desk on Spruce St., downstairs during the book sale every Tuesday and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, or email morgantownlibraryfriends@gmail.com.
